Haryana Police has arrested two accused from Ranchi in the case of online fraud of Rs 45 lakh. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. Police said the accused, Salim and Shakib, residents of Itki area, were arrested on Monday and taken to Haryana on ‘transit remand’. Itki police station in-charge Manish Kumar said, “A case of cyber fraud of Rs 45 lakh was registered against both the accused in Haryana’s Karnal cyber police station.
During investigation, Karnal Police got information that fraudulent amount was deposited in the bank accounts of both of them.” He said that a team of Haryana Police reached Itki and with the help of local police, both of them were arrested.
Kumar said, “Investigation revealed that the amount earned through cyber fraud was deposited in two or three of his bank accounts. After taking his share he transferred the remaining amount to other accounts.
