Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has honored 18 international players (men and women) with lifetime membership of its club. Among the 18 players are two from the Indian cricket team, including former veteran pacer Javagal Srinath and spinner Harbhajan Singh. The list also includes four players from England, four from South Africa, three from the West Indies, two from Australia, one each from Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.

England players include former captain Sir Alastair Cook, Ian Bell, Marcus Trescothick and former women’s wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor. Among the South African players, Hashim Amla, Herschel Gibbs, Jacques Kallis and Morne Morkel have been added to the list. Damien Martin and women’s batsman Alex Blackwell have been selected for Australia. Three West Indies players have been honored in the list, which includes current commentators Ian Bishop, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan. Sarah McGlashan, Rangana Herath and Grant Flower have been awarded membership from three other countries – New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe respectively.
