The chances of the ongoing war in the middle East are now visible. Hopefully everything will be cured soon. Meanwhile, a news from Gaza Strip has caught the attention of the whole world. Hamas has first indicated to the US that it is ready to leave arms for the first time and hand over Gaza’s administration to a joint regime. Qatar’s mediation has surfaced under Trump’s Peace Plan. Earlier, Trump had warned Hamas that either leave power will either be completely erased. According to Qatar’s diplomatic sources, Hamas has indicated through indirect talks with the US that he is considering removing weapons from Gaza and leaving governance. Under this proposal, the control of Gaza will be entrusted to a joint administration under which both Egypt and Palestinian Authority will participate.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that Egypt will host the delegations of Israel and Hamas, in which the proposed exchange of Israeli hostages would be discussed in lieu of Palestinian prisoners. According to an Egyptian official, American envoy Steve Witchoff is also attending the talks. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the present situation is closest to releasing all the hostages. Foreign ministers of Muslim -dominated eight countries issued a joint statement and welcomed the steps taken towards a possible ceasefire. He also underlined his commitment to Palestinian Authority’s return, Gaza and the west coast in Gaza, and to reach an agreement on security, to fully return to Israel from Gaza.

Rubio said that these decisions about a government structure or international group for Gaza management can be taken along the first phase of the ceasefire, including the exchange of hostages in lieu of prisoners held by Israel. Gaza’s Health Ministry said that the death toll of Palestinians reached 67,139 on Sunday in the war, while around 170,000 injured. The Health Ministry did not say how many citizens were among those who died, but they say that about half of those who died are women and children.
