The Chief Minister said that the sacrifice made by Guru Teg Bahadur ji for the protection of religion in the history of humanity is incredible and it is an example for the entire humanity. He said that this museum is a humble tribute to the ninth king, who made an unparalleled sacrifice to uphold the values โ€‹โ€‹of religious freedom and the path of truth. Bhagwant Maan said that we should all remember the great sacrifice of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and the teachings of Guru Sahib should be conveyed to every corner of the world.

CM Mann said that the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is a guide for the entire humanity and this museum will make people know about this glorious heritage on the one hand, on the other hand it will strengthen the mutual relations of the people. Describing the foundation stone of Sri Anandpur Sahib as a revolutionary event in Indian history, he said that the ninth king laid the foundation of social equality and religious neutrality on this holy land. He said that the tenth king Guru Gobind Singh laid the foundation of the Khalsa Panth on this holy land, which proved to be a milestone for the establishment of a casteless secular society in the country.

He said that it is a matter of great pride that this museum is being rededicated to the public after being equipped with state-of-the-art technology and audio-video presentation. He said that earlier in the museum, Guru Sahib’s life and teachings were depicted only through paintings on the walls and there was no arrangement for audio-video presentation and lighting. Bhagwant Mann said that the renovation work of this museum went on at a very fast pace during the last one year and it has cost about 2 crore rupees.

Bhagwant Mann said that the content and teachings about Guru Sahib’s sacrifice for the protection of religion will be presented through animation videos, illuminations and oral information through the use of modern technology like 2D. He said that a mobile application has also been developed in this regard, by using which any person can get all the information here through his mobile phone. Bhagwant Mann said that this renovated state-of-the-art museum, dedicated to the people on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, will acquaint the pilgrims and other visitors with the historical facts and the youth with the spirit of sacrifice inherited. Ru-Bru will do it.

Criticizing the Akali leadership for neglecting the development of religious cities, the Chief Minister said that Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal always makes big noises but he has not done anything practical for the development of these cities. He said that due to this indifference of the Akali leadership, people showed them the way out. Bhagwant Mann said that the Badals gave more importance to their interests than the state and its people.

The Punjab CM said that the traditional political parties are jealous of him because the dedicated service rendered by the son of a simple family to these parties is not being tolerated. He said that the people of Punjab have been wiped out from the state only because of the anti-Punjab and anti-people tactics of these parties. Bhagwant Mann said that these parties and their leaders have always fulfilled their own interests while people have given an opportunity to the children of simple families to serve the state.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann further said that the previous governments had inherited PowerCom’s loan of Rs 9020 crore and now his government is repaying this loan in five installments of Rs 1804 crore. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government has given government jobs to more than 28000 youth so far.

He offered obeisance at Gurdwara Bhora Sahib and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
