AAP MLA Umesh Makwana from Botad resigned from the post of punishment of Aam Aadmi Party in a press conference in Gandhinagar. Umesh Makwana was away from the Aam Aadmi Party programs for some time. After resigning from the post of Dandak, he said that the Congress has failed to play the role of the opposition.

Makwana said that I worked in different positions in BJP for 20 years. At the time when no one was recognized in Gujarat, I left the ruling BJP party and joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Today in you I think we are wandering from Dr. BR Ambedkar’s principles. He further said that this is the reason that I have resigned from all posts of Aam Aadmi Party. I will continue working as a party worker. I will go among the people of Botad. I will meet some people and discuss forming or not forming a separate party.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday appreciated the party’s performance in the Gujarat and Punjab by -elections and described it as a “semi -finals of 2027”, saying that there is a clear indication that the voters would reject both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora from Punjab’s Ludhiana West Assembly seat defeated his close rival and Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu by a margin of 10,637 votes.

The counting of by -elections for two assembly seats in Gujarat was held on Monday. Officials said that ‘AAP’ leader Gopal Italia won the Visavadar seat, while BJP’s Rajendra Chavda won the tough seat. At a press conference after the results, Kejriwal said, “We have won by almost double the margin from the margin of 2022.
