Decline in precious metals prices in the international market and appreciation of the rupee, Local bullion market Gold and silver prices are trending in India. According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 491 to Rs 45,735 per 10 grams.
At the same time, silver prices also declined. Silver prices have declined by more than Rs 700. Silver also fell by Rs 721 to Rs 61,541 per kg. The fall in the price of precious metals ahead of the festive and wedding season could encourage the common man to buy.
On Thursday, gold of 99.9 per cent purity closed at Rs 46,657 per 10 grams, up from Rs 46,839 per 10 grams in the opening trade. At the same time, gold of 99.5 per cent purity (opening price) fell from Rs 46,651 to Rs 46,470 per ten grams. Similarly, silver closed at Rs 62,258 per kg, up from Rs 62,532 per kg in the previous session. These precious metals prices do not include GST.
