Western Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Lieutenant General Manoj Katiyar on Tuesday praised Operation Sindoor and said that the Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. Addressing an ex-servicemen rally organized to commemorate 60 years of the India-Pakistan war of 1965, Lieutenant General Katiyar said Operation Sindoor was successful due to the support of the administration, ex-servicemen and local people.

Manoj Katiyar said that terrorists killed our innocent people in Pahalgam attack. Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. Operation Sindoor was successful because we got the support of the administration, ex-servicemen and local people. He assured the public that the Indian Army is prepared to thwart future attacks by the neighboring country. He said that Pakistan will try to attack us again; They always try to attack like Pahalgam, and we have to be alert. I assure you that the Indian Army is ready to foil any nefarious design of Pakistan.
Recalling the 1965 war, he said that the reason for Pakistan’s defeat was that it underestimated the patriotism of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Lieutenant General Manoj Katiyar said that we had won the trust of the people of the country by defeating Pakistan in the 1965 war and that trust continues even today. Pakistan intended to occupy Jammu and Kashmir. About 10,000 Razakars trained by the Pakistan Army infiltrated. But he made a mistake in measuring the patriotism of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. With the help of the public, the Indian Army drove them away.
