Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is currently hospitalized in Kuwait’s hospital, inquired about his health and wished him to recover early. Azad is currently part of one of the multi -party delegations visiting the world capitals to convey the message of India on terrorism arising from Pakistan. Official sources confirmed that the Prime Minister personally called the former Union Minister, who had become ill during the delegation’s visit to Kuwait. BJP MP Baijayant Jai Panda, who is leading the delegation, including Azad, said on Tuesday that senior leaders are stable and under medical supervision.
Panda also said that Azad’s contribution to the earlier meetings in Bahrain and Kuwait was highly impressive, and the DPAP president is disappointed with being on bed during this important diplomatic effort. Currently seven multilateral delegations are visiting various countries, which aim to emphasize India’s zero tolerance policy on terrorism, especially to deal with the dangers arising from Pakistan. The deployment of these delegations was in May in view of the four -day military conflict between India and Pakistan, which began with a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on 22 April.
The purpose of these delegations is to compete Pakistan’s efforts to portray India as aggressive on the international stage by presenting reliable information and evidence of Pakistan’s relations with terrorism. The delegation led by Baijayant Panda will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria as part of this outreach.
