Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed US President Donald Trump’s 20-Cutraine resolution to end the war in Gaza and described it as “a viable path of long-term and permanent peace, security and development” in the region. In a post on X, the Prime Minister also hoped that “all concerned parties would unite behind the initiative of President Trump and support this effort to end the struggle and ensure peace.”In fact, Trump announced a plan to end the ongoing struggle between Israel and Hamas and during this time Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also present.
After the announcement of the US President, in a post on ‘X’, Modi hoped that “all the concerned parties would unite for the initiative of President Trump and support this effort to end the struggle and ensure peace.” Trump and Netanyahu said on Monday that they have agreed to the plan to end the war in Gaza but it is not clear whether Hamas will accept these conditions.
PM Modi said in his post, “We welcome President Donald J Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the struggle in Gaza. It provides a viable passage of long-term and permanent peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people as well as the broad West Asian region.

World’s reactions to Trump’s plan
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the proposal, praising Trump’s “leadership” and said that Islamabad would support the two-state solution.
He tweeted, “I also firmly believe that President Trump is fully prepared to provide all possible help to realize this extremely important and necessary agreement.”
In a joint statement, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar and Egyptians praised Trump’s “leadership and honest efforts” and welcomed the plan as a path to end the struggle, to end the struggle, rebuild Gaza and to stop Israel’s occupation on the west coast.

While French President Emmanuel Macron described the scheme as “an important opportunity to end war and free the hostages”, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said the proposal could prove to be “a significant turn, which would make a permanent end of enmity, the immediate release of all the hostages and the complete and safe human reach will be possible”.
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Kir Starmer called for “united with all sides and finalizing the agreement with the US administration and turning it into reality.”
German Foreign Minister Johan Wedful said that the scheme is a ray of hope for millions of people suffering in Gaza and the occasion should not be ruined. He urged Hamas to take advantage of this.
