Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. A meeting with Saxena and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a meeting on Wednesday. During this time he reviewed the progress of the existing projects of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the national capital. After the meeting, Gupta, citing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) being in power both in the center and city, said that the “double engine” government is benefiting the people of Delhi.
Gupta said, “NHAI’s Rs 35,000 crore projects are going on in Delhi. The work of constructing a seven -kilometer long underground tunnel from Shiv Murthy to Nelson Mandela Road is going on. Work on construction of elevated road from INA to Indira Gandhi International Airport is going on. ”
The Chief Minister said that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has also taken up the task of making drainage system around its roads. He said, “This will eliminate the problems caused by the work of many agencies. Public Works Department (PWD) will help them. ”
Gupta said that NHAI has also approved the road overbridge (ROB) and road underbridge (RUB) projects costing Rs 150 crore for Delhi. He said, “Projects worth Rs 1.25 lakh crore have been started for Delhi.” He thanked the Center for this.
