Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday made fun of the claims of friendship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, saying that their relationship has proved expensive for the country. He said that several programs were organized to strengthen the claims of Trump and PM Modi being old friends, including photographs. Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ramesh told ANI that a popular song is ‘Dost Dost Na Rahi’. PM will also know this song.

Jairam Ramesh taunted and said that ‘friend is no longer a friend, Trump Yaar Hum Tera Aitbar’. He organized ‘Houdi Modi’ and ‘Namaste Trump’ programs. He said ‘This time Trump Sarkar’. Photographs were taken. Our Foreign Minister was sitting in the first line during the swearing -in ceremony of President Trump. It was claimed that there is a special relationship between PM and President Trump, that they are old friends. Emphasizing that India is being threatened with additional tariffs and Russia is being asked not to buy oil, Ramesh taunted that this is the result of a “special relationship” between the two leaders. He asked Prime Minister Modi to answer these decisions.

The Prime Minister should answer. For years, he has been claiming that there is a special relationship between President Trump and him, he hugs, takes pictures and interacts.
