According to the information, Lakhwinder Singh got an offer to earn money by working online on a website. The thugs assured him that the more he does, the more money he would get. For this, he had to join a group, which had to invest money.
Work stopped on asking for money and broke contact
Lakhwinder deposited a total of 43 lakh 50 thousand 84 rupees in four-five months in a row. The thugs promised every time that the money would be doubled next month. When the victim started asking for money, the accused stopped work and broke the contact.
Inspector Harjeet Kaur, in -charge of Cyber Police Station Sangrur, said that a case has been registered against unknown accused. He has appealed to the people not to get into the greed to earn money online. Thugs use fake IDs and fake mobile numbers, which are difficult to trace.
