Four prisoners absconding from Korba District Jail in Chhattisgarh

On Saturday, four prisoners escaped by closing the wall of the district jail in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information. Officials said that these prisoners have been identified as Raja Kanwar (22), Dasharatha Sidar (19), Sarna Siku (26) and Chandrashekhar Rathia (20), residents of Korba district. He said that these prisoners escaped from the jail after hanging the wall of the cowshed inside the jail between three and four o’clock in the afternoon.

Officials said that when the jail officials came to know about the incident, they informed the Civil Lines police station and the search for the absconding prisoners has been started.

He said that these people were arrested by the police on charges of rape and under sections of the Poxo (Poxo) Act. Officials said that the police have released a photo of the absconding prisoners and possible places of hiding are being searched.

Superintendent of Police of Korba district Siddharth Tiwari said that information about the escape of four prisoners from the jail has been received from the jail department and all the police stations and posts have been alerted.
