The White House formed the Religious Liberty Commission on 1 May.
US President Donald Trump’s official residence White has constituted an advisory committee, an advisory committee. The board includes former Lashkar terrorist Ismail Rayer and fundamentalist Sheikh Hamza Yusuf.

According to the Washington Post report, Ismail Rayer adopted the religion of Islam in 1992. Ismail’s original name was Randel Rayer. In 2000, he participated in the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror training camp in Pakistan. The same organization carried out the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
After the 2001 9/11 attack, Rayar became a key member of the ‘Virginia Jihad Network’. The network organized a paintball training for jihad and arranged for weapons training in Lashkar-e-Taiba camps to support the Taliban.
In 2004, Rayar confessed to assisting and encouraging explosives. For which he was sentenced to 20 years, but was released in 2017 after 13 years.

The White House reported on 16 May 2025 that the Religious Liberty Commission was formed on 1 May 2025. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick of Texas is its chairman, and Dr. Ben Carson is the vice -president.
The commission has three advisory boards: religious leaders, legal experts, and Le Leaders. Rayer and Yusuf have been appointed to the Leaders Board.
According to the White House, Rayer worked with non -Profiable Organizations and promoted peace among various religions.
Apart from this, the White House spoke of a book “Religious Violence Today: Faith and Conflict in the Modern World”. In this book, Rayer co-shared an article on Islam.
White According to the house, Sheikh Hamza was ranked as the 500 consecutive most influential Muslims (the most influential Islamic scholar in the Western world) for a decade. During the first Trump administration, Sheikh Hamza worked in the State Department Commission.

The White House released a list of members of the Religious Liberty Commission on 16 May. It includes Ismail Rayer’s name.

Laura Lumor also made serious allegations against Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, the second appointed member of the board. Joseph is the co-founder of America’s first recognized Muslim Liberal Arts College, Jayatuna College.
Along with this, Sheikh Hamza is a advisor at the Center for Islamic Studies of the Theological Union, Graduate The Graduate Thecetical Union. Lumor claimed on X that Joseph is a jihadi, he is related to organizations such as Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
Laura also said that the college teaches Sharia law. However, no concrete evidence or legal action related to terrorism against Joseph is publicly available.
