Former Punjab DGP Muhammad Mustafa appeared in the media for the first time after the murder case of his son Aqil Akhtar was registered. The case was registered in Panchkula, where Akil Akhtar died. Mustafa answered all questions from the death of his son to his relationship with his daughter-in-law.
He said that this is a very unfortunate incident. Only one who has lost a son can understand this pain. There is no greater sorrow in the world. Some mean-spirited people are pouring salt on my son’s body and my wounds, but I am not panicking.
Muhammad Mustafa said that after my son’s death, I was in mourning. I didn’t even pick up anyone’s phone. I had no courage. Father was very active in me. I lost my only 35 year old son. But now I have put the father to sleep within me, and the soldier within me has awakened. Lies have no feet; The truth will come out.”
The former DGP said that his son had been struggling with sakoti disorder and drug addiction for 18 years, many times in police custody. He said that he often became violent when intoxicated. Since 2006, he was in the grip of drugs, which left him with 40 percent brain damage. I have always kept my dignity quiet. He also set fire to my room.
He said that on the evening of the accident, I talked about getting him admitted to the de-addiction center. For 18 years he used to sleep all day and wake up at night. I kept him with many lawyers. All had 3-4 days. 20 days ago he went to a de-addiction center and came back at night. Often he used to get up at 7 or 7.30 in the evening, but that day it was late. We did not know then that all this would happen.
The DGP said that the complainant Shamshudin is lying. It was also expelled from the Aam Aadmi Party. There was a bank fraud case of crores on it. So he came to me asking for help. Other than that I have no relation with him.
Let us tell you that the case of the death of Aqeel Akhtar, son of former Punjab DGP Muhammad Mustafa, in Panchkula, Haryana is getting complicated. An important revelation has been made in the post-mortem report. A single syringe mark was found on Akhil’s body, which was 7 cm above his right elbow, while his drug addiction was revealed after his death, but no injection of drugs was mentioned.
Medical experts believe that drug addicts initially inject with their left hand because it is easier. When repeated injections on the left hand become marked and the person becomes addicted, they are switched to the right hand. However, since Aqeel Akhtar was probably not addicted, only one mark was found on his hand. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe Akil’s death. ACP Vikram Nehra has been appointed as its head.
