The terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir was a well-planned conspiracy by Pakistan’s ISI and terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) on the instructions of the country’s political and military leadership. A senior official told the Times of India that no local terrorist had participated in this heinous murder nor did he know the accurate knowledge of the terrorist conspiracy. The resistance front, a pseudo group of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba organization, has taken responsibility for the Pahalgam attack. Indian agencies say that this group is a mask used by Pakistan to avoid international sanctions. Officials have identified suspected attackers as Hashim Musa and Ali Bhai. Both are Pakistani citizens and local activist Adil Hussain is a wholesaler.

Two other local people Parvez Ahmed Jothar and Bashir Ahmed Jothar – have been arrested for allegedly giving shelter to terrorists. The National Investigation Agency investigating the attack said that Parvez and Bashir knew about the association of terrorist organizations of the three gunmen and despite this, they provided them with shelter, food and logistics aid in the days before the April 22 attack.
