Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday put an end to the speculation of the completion of his term and said that he intends to complete the entire five -year term. Talking to reporters, he said, people keep saying that two and a half years will be completed in November. I want to say that whatever decision of the high command is, we have to follow it. Why should I offer flowers on Mysore Dussehra next year? I hope I will do it. I have been doing this for so many years. Dussehra is traditionally inaugurated by showering flowers on the statue of Goddess Chamundeshwari, the presiding deity of Mysuru and her royal houses, in the premises of the Chamundeshwari temple located above the Chamundi hills in Mysuru.

Siddaramaiah, recalling the predictions and doubts made on his political journey, said, “People had predicted that I would not become the Chief Minister for the second time, but I became.” Many people said that sitting on my car is bad omen and I will not be able to become the Chief Minister. He also said that I will not present the budget, but I introduced it. Highlighting his tenure so far, he said that I have completed two and a half years and will remain in power for the next two and a half years. This comment of the Chief Minister is Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar’s loyal Congress MLA Dr. Ranganath came after openly supporting the possibilities of his leadership.

Dr. Ranganath said that one day he should become Chief Minister, this is our wish. I am confident that he will one day become the Chief Minister. Voters, party workers and public, all want to see him as Chief Minister in future. The MLA described him as his political guru and said that DK Shivkumar is our political guru. We have learned from them how the society is served, how the administration is run and how is development brought by its actions.
