Flood havoc in the Northeast, dust storm in Delhi affected life and rain

On the one hand, while the flood crisis is getting deeper due to heavy rains in Northeast India, on the other hand, the weather suddenly took a turn in the national capital Delhi on Sunday. Delhi and surrounding areas rained with thunderstorms with strong dust storm, causing normal life to disrupt.
The direct effect of this changed weather was also seen on Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), where flight operations were affected. According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour in Delhi, which advises people to be vigilant.
4 flights divert at IGI Airport
Flight operations were adversely affected at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in Delhi on Sunday afternoon, when there was heavy dust storm in the city and NCR region. According to the latest information, at least four flights coming to Delhi were diverted between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm. These included two flights from Jaipur and one by one from Chandigarh and one from Amritsar.

In a post on X, Delhi Airport advised passengers to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight updates.
The post posted on X by Delhi Airport said, ‘Due to bad weather in Delhi, flight operations at Delhi Airport have been affected. Our on-ground teams are working closely with all the stakeholders so that passengers can get easy and efficient experience. Passengers are advised to contact their respective airline for the latest information related to flight.
