America, which is called a superpower, is being tarnished all over the world only because of Trump’s statements. Trump first says something and then goes back on it. Trump has also started a tariff war in the world. They also include China, on which Trump sometimes imposes tariffs. Sometimes we say that due to the circumstances China is going through, we want friendship. We are not China’s enemy and everything will be fine. A new statement from US President Donald Trump has come out after imposing 100 percent tariff on China.

Trump said don’t worry about China. We want to help China. Trump said that we do not want to harm China. Bad times have just passed with the highly respected President Xi Jinping. We are willing to help China. In a post on Truth Social, the Republican president also stressed that Xi Jinping would not want to push his country into ‘depression’ and said his Chinese counterpart was simply having a ‘bad phase’. He doesn’t want a recession in his country, and neither do I. America wants to help China, not harm it!

Trump’s comments appear to be a U-turn a few days after he threatened to impose 100 percent additional duty on imports from China from November 1. Last week, Trump accused China of adopting an extremely aggressive and hostile attitude as China imposed sanctions on all its products, especially rare earth minerals. Trump had alleged that China wants to “capture the world”, following which there were speculations that he may also cancel his scheduled meeting with Xi Jinping. However, Trump later clarified that he would not cancel his meeting with the Chinese President.

After Trump threatened to impose additional tariffs, China defended its move and also warned the US to take firm action. In a statement, the Chinese Commerce Ministry urged the US to “immediately correct its wrong practices” and adhere to the “important consensus” reached during the telephone conversation between Xi and Trump. “Deliberately threatening to impose higher tariffs is not the right way to engage with China,” the statement said. China’s stance on the trade war is the same: We don’t want it, but we are not afraid of it either. If the US insists on going down the wrong path, China will definitely take drastic measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
