Some people of Muslim society in Bhopal celebrated joy by bursting firecrackers in support of the Waqf Amendment Bill.

MLA Arif Masood said, a very big problem is that the collector is being made responsible. The same collector who has declared our cemeteries as government. We are fighting against this in the High Court and the Supreme Court. We have 41 and 1947 documents of 1959, which prove that it is Waqf’s property, but the collector is calling it government property.

This bill is coming in the Lok Sabha today, based on the decision taken after the debate. There is a provision in this law that the income coming from those (Waqf) properties will be used for the welfare of Muslim siblings, for their education and health. What is the problem with anyone? It has always been the Congress’s agenda to do politics of appeasement, which I think will end now.
