Fire in industrial area factory, loss of millions

A sudden fire broke out in a plastic product -making factory located in Umra Industrial area of Barabanki district on Wednesday afternoon. There have been no casualties in this incident.

Police officials said that a sudden fire broke out in the factory making plastic goods in Umra industrial area of Kursi police station area.

He said that as soon as the information of the incident was received, three vehicles of the fire department reached the spot and started the work of extinguishing the fire and despite several hours of effort, the fire could not be completely controlled.

According to eyewitnesses, the flames were so strong that it engulfed the entire factory in a few minutes. The factory management immediately tried to extinguish the fire from its level but the fire became uncontrollable. After this, information was given to the fire department.

At present, clear information about the cause of the fire could not be found. Kursi police station in -charge Anil Kumar Singh said that an attempt is being made to control the fire and there have been no casualties in this incident.

The workers working in the factory say that a large amount of raw and finished goods were kept inside the factory, due to which the fire took a formidable form. Local administration and police also reached the spot and the surrounding area was evacuated.

Due to the fire, the surrounding area was hit by smoke, causing suffocation -like conditions. It is estimated that goods and machines worth millions of rupees have been burnt by the fire.
