Film L2: The Income Tax Department has issued a notice to Antony Perumbavur, producer of Empuran. Under this, he has been asked by the end of this month, his film Lusifer and Marakar: Arabikadalinte Simham. At the same time, a notice was also sent to actor Prithviraj Sukumaran recently.
According to sources in the Income Tax Department, this notice is not a part of the investigation in the Malayalam film industry in 2022, not due to the controversy over the film ‘L2: Empuran’. Not only this, the notice sent to Antony, especially overseas distribution rights and Mohanlal, have been asked for details of payments worth Rs 2.5 crore, as both these films had actor Mohanlal.
Prithviraj Sukumaran received notice on 5 April
Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran was given notice by the Income Tax Department on 5 April. In this, information about the expenses incurred for ‘Kaduwa’, ‘Janagaman’ and ‘Gold’ was sought from them. At the same time, before this, the house and office of Malayalam producer Gokulam Gopalan were raided, who are also co-producers of ‘Emperran’.
