A fierce fire broke out in Lucknow on Thursday morning. 5 passengers died alive in the accident. The dead have 2 children, 2 women and 1 male. There were about 80 passengers in the bus. The bus was going from Bihar to Delhi.
The accident took place at 5 am near Mohanlalganj on Outer Ring Road (Kisan Path). Most passengers were sleeping at that time. Passengers told that the bus suddenly started filling smoke. People did not understand anything. In a few minutes, the flames of the fire started rising.
There was a stampede inside the bus. The bus driver and the conductor escaped leaving the bus. There was an extra seat near the driver’s seat. In such a situation, the passengers had difficulty in getting down. Many passengers fell trapped and fell. People nearby informed the police and fire brigade. By the time the fire brigade reached, the entire bus was burnt. The fire brigade extinguished the fire in about 30 minutes. When reached inside, 5 burn bodies were found.
Initial police investigation has revealed that the emergency gate of the bus did not open. Because of this, the people sitting behind got trapped. The bus had seven gas cylinders of five kg. However, no cylinder torn.

- Anuj Singh said- passengers riding in the bus were sleeping. I woke up when there was noise. When I saw, the smoke was filling the bus. There was a stampede. I immediately woke my wife. When both of us started getting off the bus, then the driver got stuck in the additional seat near the driver. Somehow got up and got out.
- Ravi Kumar said- This incident took place at around four and a half in the morning. Sparks occurred near the gear and the fire started from there. The driver ran away without telling anyone. The ahead passengers somehow left, but the back passengers got trapped.
- Tar Chand said- the driver-conductor did not give any voice to anyone. Both jumped and ran away. The fire broke out due to his negligence. The fire was reported from the smell of smoke.
- Child Ram told- I was in a bus with a seven-month-old pregnant wife and two children. The first wife was down when the fire broke out. The children were sleeping on the seat. Could not take them down.
