Fierce blast in Nagpur explosive factory, one killed, seven seriously injured, rescue continues

At least one person was killed and seven others were injured in an explosion in an explosive factory after Wednesday midnight in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. Police gave this information. Police said that the RDX unit of ‘Solar Explosives’ located in Bazaargaon in the district exploded at around 12:30 pm.

According to police, the 25 -year -old man died and seven others were injured. He said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital and their condition is out of danger. Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) leader and former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh met the injured in the hospital.

The blast occurred at the company’s CB-1 plant. Eyewitnesses said the smoke was seen before the explosion, causing senior employees to be alert and asked everyone to exit immediately. Most of the employees managed to get out in time, but the Mayur Ganveer, who was inside the plant, could not get out. A few moments later, a powerful explosion occurred in the unit. The explosion was so intense that several parts of the building flew several meters away.

Flying debris injured several workers. Soon after the incident, police, fire brigade teams and senior district officials reached the spot. The authorities first waited to ensure that there was no other explosion, then started rescue work. Later, a cooling operation was carried out and people trapped in the rubble were rescued.

The injured were given first aid before transferring to the city hospitals. Talking to ANI, Dr. Nripal Dhande, ICU in -charge of Dhande Hospital, said, “We were informed of an explosion in a factory at around 1:30 pm. First, four patients were brought here, two of which were critical and had injuries in their heads. They were immediately admitted to the ICU and they are on the ventilator. Patients are undergoing treatment. “
