Saudi Arabia and Qatar expressed concern over the border conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan and urged both sides to exercise restraint and dialogue to reduce tensions. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said on 11 December that the Islamic Republic of Saudi Arabia expresses concern over the tensions and clashes in the border areas between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Afghanistan. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the escalation of tensions and its potential impact on the security and stability of the region. It urged both sides to give priority to dialogue, diplomacy and restraint.
