Promila, in-charge of City Police Station-2, was informed in the ongoing campaign on the instructions of SSP Varinder Singh Brar. Two suspected persons were trying to carry a large amount of poppy behind the palace. The police team immediately raided the spot. However, the smugglers escaped from the spot.
Identification of accused on the basis of car
Police have identified two accused by investigating on the basis of the car. These include Rajan from Variam Nagar Abohar and Pramod Kumar, a resident of Fazilka. The police have registered the case number 47 and started searching for both.
