Police arrested a farmer who shot a cow near village Jhotiwala in Faridkot in Punjab. The farmer erupted to enter the cow’s field. In anger, he fired and a cow was shot. The police had registered a case on the complaint of the owner of the cow.

According to the information, Gurjar Alexander along with his comrades was going from village Machaki Khurd to Jhotiwala Road to graze about 200 cows. During this time some of his cows entered Jagdeep Singh’s fields. Hajir Jagdeep Singh had a dispute with Gurjar Sikander on the spot.

Firing from licensed pistol
During the debate, angry farmer fired from a licensed pistol after the cows enter the field. Gurjars were saved by firing. But a bullet hit the cow due to which he died. The police registered a case under the sections of BNS and Animal Act on the statement of Gurjar Sikander, a resident of village Janatawali in Rajasthan.
The police arrested Jagdeep, a farmer from Guru Nanak Colony.

In this case, SP Jasmeet Singh said that after the information, the police have registered a case against the farmer Jagdeep Singh on the basis of the complaint of the victim Gurjar Sikander and now he will be produced in court and will be taken on remand for questioning.
