Jagjit Singh Dallawal, the provincial president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Siddhupur in Faridkot, Punjab, has announced the postponement of the peasant movement in the state for 15 days. Dallawal has taken this decision in view of the atmosphere of tension between India and Pakistan.

Giving information about the decision taken in the meeting of the United Kisan Morcha Non -Political and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Morcha, Dallawal said that even though he had differences with the governments over his demands and the farmers are also standing with the government in the interest of the country.

Dallewal told war unfortunate

He said that war is unfortunate and it causes loss of ordinary citizens, but in such difficult circumstances, it does not want to put the government in crisis with its movement, so farmer organizations have decided to postpone their struggle for the next 15 days.

Regarding this decision, he has informed the village level workers to the state level officials that he will not do any activity related to the movement for the next 15 days.

Government should meet pending demands of farmers

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallawal said that he has postponed his agitation in the interest of the country and during this time the government and the Patiala administration should also take action against the theft goods of farmers on Shambhu and Khanouri border.
