The youth of Punjab has been shot dead in the Philippines. The deceased has been identified as Gurvinder Singh, a resident of Marad village in Faridkot. Gurvinder Singh went to Manila, the capital of the Philippines about 26 months ago, selling his land for a better future.

Gurvinder’s family and sarpanch of the village Gurpreet Singh said that Gurvinder Singh, who belongs to the small farmer family, has two younger siblings, parents. Gurvinder went to Manila by selling his land and started working as finance there. He said that the family received a call from Manila two days ago that someone shot Gurvinder at night when he was returning to his home.

He told that the family is very poor and Gurvinder was the support of the family. He said that he appeals to the government to bring Gurvinder’s body to India at the earliest so that the family can perform his last rites.
