‘Fake socialist sat on the lap of emergency’: Keshav Prasad Maurya

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, on Wednesday, targeted the opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) on the 50th anniversary of emergency in the country, saying that fake socialists have sat in the lap of the Congress party that imposed emergency.

Addressing reporters at ‘Circuit House’ here, Maurya was fighting to save the real socialist democracy during the Emergency. Folk hero Jayaprakash Narayan, George Fernandes, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Prasad were part of this movement against the Congress. ”

He said, “The one who sat in the lap of the Congress became like the Congress. The one who stands with the Congress party who killed democracy, who stands with the emergency in this country should be considered as the Congress.”

The Deputy Chief Minister said, “There is a system of imposing emergency in the Constitution and that too when the country is in crisis. But there was no crisis on the country at that time, but the Gandhi family had a crisis on power.”

He said, “Indira Gandhi’s election was canceled on an order of Allahabad High Court. How much courage of the judiciary was to cancel the election of Indira Gandhi. At that time India meant Congress and Indira Gandhi. The Congress imposed an emergency in the country to save power, which is an indicator of Congress’s arrogance. ”

Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “The Congress misused power and did the work that they should not have done. Now the time has come to create a Congress -free India and SP -free state. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, the SP formed an alliance with the killers of the Constitution and misled the public by taking the book of the Constitution of the Leader of the Opposition.”

He said that he was not to save the constitution, but to establish the Congress again in power, but the people of the country formed the BJP government at the Center for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is celebrating Emergency Day and respecting democracy fighters.
