Eye India executive told Trump’s action unfortunate, said- Indo-US trade talks will reduce its impact

They feel that the impact of the tariff will end after reaching the interim trade agreement. EY India Executive said that we all know that the Indian government is already interacting with the US administration for the trade agreement, so we can expect the trade agreement in the coming months and the effect will end. Asked whether he sees this move of the Trump administration as part of a large conservationist agenda or India is being specially targeted, he said that it can be seen from a plan to ‘re -make America great’.

President Trump’s policy is America first. So this is a step in the same direction. They want to protect their interests. This is their right. They are doing this with all countries. There is nothing special with India. If India imposes retaliation or there may be an ideal response from the central government, then Putrathi believes that any aggressive step can derail the conversation of the business agreement.
