Thankfully there was no one present in the house at the time of the incident, so no casualties were reported. However, the house suffered a lot of damage. Along with flying the roof of the house, household items including electrical fan, water coolers and refrigerators were ashes. People immediately informed the fire brigade. After about one and a half hours of effort, the fire was controlled.

MP Arora announced 2 lakh compensation
On receiving information about the incident, city councilor Kapil Kumar Sonu immediately informed Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, who was holding a booth meeting at that time. Hearing about the incident, Sanjeev Arora left his meeting in the middle and reached the spot.
After inspecting the widespread damage to the house, Arora inquired about the total damage done to the affected family. MP Arora announced that he would give compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the affected family, and promised to hand over the amount tomorrow.
