One person was killed and another person was marginally injured in an explosion on Saturday at an industrial unit in Bawana, Delhi. Police gave this information. Police said the incident occurred in factory number B-86 located in Sector-1 of DSIIDC located in Bawana.
PungAccording to Lis, one of his teams reached the spot after receiving information about the explosion. Police said five fire engines were installed to control the fire. An official said that prima facie it seems to be a case of explosion in a cylinder or compressor.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (External North) Hareshwar Swami said, “The deceased has been identified as Nazim (35), a resident of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. He was found unconscious at the scene and was declared dead on reaching the hospital.”
He said that Akhilesh, another employee resident of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, suffered minor injuries and has been discharged from the hospital. According to the police, the factory owner Nazim’s father is Nizamuddin (60), who lives here in West Vihar. Police said that legal action is being taken under the relevant provisions of the Code of Justice of India (BNS) in the case.
