Ateeq Ahmed gang is likely to be involved in the kidnapping of Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Head of Department (HOD) of Pharma Department and Head of Examination Controller Department at Nalanda Medical College (NMC), Patna. Even after more than 50 hours have passed, no clue has been found of Dr. Sanjay who left home to go from Patna to Muzaffarpur at around seven o’clock on Wednesday evening. Dr. Sanjay is brother-in-law of UP’s ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar and brother-in-law of senior IAS Dimple Verma. Bihar Police has apprehension that Atiq Ahmed may be involved in this incident to put pressure on UP’s ADG.

Bihar Police became active after ADG Prashant – IAS Dimple’s call
Dr. Sanjay Kumar’s wife Professor Saloni Verma had earlier called her brother-in-law ADG Prashant Kumar and sister Dimple Verma (Senior IAS of UP cadre) after not getting the information of her husband. After this, ADG Prashant Kumar talked to many senior officials including Jitendra Singh, ADG Headquarters of Bihar Police. In this matter, he has also given cooperation to the Bihar Police as well as input that helped in the investigation. Saloni Verma had lodged an FIR in Police Station Patrakar Nagar on Thursday. In this, it has also been mentioned to talk to both the officers of UP. According to the information received from the sources, raids are also being done to arrest some criminals connecting the link between Bihar and Atiq Ahmed.
