Engineering Student Suicide | Engineering student committed suicide in Karnataka, mentioned educational pressure in suicide note

A first -year student at an engineering college in Kodagu district of Karnataka allegedly committed suicide in her hostel room on Wednesday. The student has been identified as Tejaswini, who was 19 years old and nominated in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Course at Haligattu College of Engineering and Technology, Ponampet. A note was recovered from her room, in which she allegedly stated that she was killing her life due to academic pressure. He referred to being six backlogs and expressed reluctance to continue his studies.
Tejaswini was the only daughter of Mahantappa, a resident of Raichur in Northeast Karnataka. According to sources, he celebrated his 19th birthday with friends three days ago. On Wednesday, he allegedly distributed sweets to those who could not attend the earlier celebrations. She returned to her hostel room at around 4 pm after attending her classes.

Around 4.30 pm, one of his classmates noticed that the door of his room was locked from inside. There was no response despite repeated knocking and calling. The case was brought to the attention of the supervisor of the hostel. When the door was forcibly opened, Tejaswini was found insensitive from inside. The note was found citing educational pressure nearby. Officials of Ponampet police station visited the spot, conducted a initial inspection and continued the investigation of the case.

Earlier, a BTech second year student of a private university in Jaipur had allegedly committed suicide in a hotel in MLApuri area of ​​the city. The deceased hails from Bihar. He has left a suicide note, in which he has apologized to his mother and said that he had to transfer 4 lakh rupees to a person, which has not been identified yet. Police said that the family of the deceased has been informed about the case. MLApuri SHO Banwarilal Meena said that the team of forensic experts has gathered evidence from the spot.
