Emergency is unfortunate, but Indira Gandhi apologized for this: Sharad Pawar

Referring to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led government at the Center, Pawar said that the criticism of the current government is considered unacceptable. The former Union Minister said, “Today we have to be careful. Even today, the government’s criticism in the media is not considered good. Journalists are threatened. There is a difference in declared and undeclared emergency. ”

He called upon ordinary citizens to remain united to protect and protect parliamentary democracy at any cost. Praising senior socialist leader late George Fernandes, Rajya Sabha member Pawar said that he became a minister from a labor union leader at the Center.

Pawar called the Emergency an unfortunate incident but also said that the Indira Gandhi -led government had also apologized for curbing fundamental rights, suppressing disagreement, making collective arrests and implementing measures such as press sensorship.
