Election Commission has now become a dock commission, Rahul-Tejashwi attacks BJP in Araria, Bihar

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal made sharp attacks on the Bharatiya Janata Party, Central Government and Election Commission at a joint press conference in Araria, Bihar. The two leaders questioned the fairness of the Election Commission and called it a ‘dock commission’.

Questions raised on Election Commission

Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the Election Commission is no longer the Election Commission, but has become a unit of the dock commission, BJP. He said that he and Rahul Gandhi have gone on this journey (Voter Adhikar Yatra) to save democracy and right to vote. Tejashwi claimed that after his visit at the ground level, it has become clear that the credibility of the Election Commission is over.

Rahul Gandhi also made serious allegations against the Election Commission. He said that he had placed the data of fake voters in front of the Election Commission in Karnataka, which has not been replied till date. Rahul alleged that when he held a press conference, the Election Commission sought affidavit from him, while Anurag Thakur did not seek any affidavit from him for holding a similar press conference. He said that it is clear with whom the Election Commission stands with. Talking about ‘vote theft’ in Bihar, he said that the opposition is complaining, but the BJP and the Election Commission have ‘partnership’, so the BJP is not saying anything.

Tejashwi targeted Chirag Paswan

Tejashwi Yadav lashed out at Union Minister Chirag Paswan and said that he is Hanuman of a particular person. In response, Rahul Gandhi smiled and said that this thing also applies to me.

What did Rahul say on vote theft?

Emphasizing the unity of opposition parties, Rahul Gandhi said that we have a very good partnership, we are all working together, there is no tension, mutual respect, ideological and politically we are united. He said that this will give ‘very good results, but vote theft will have to be stopped.

Tejashwi Yadav questioned the complexity of the process and said that there is no clarity in the process of adding or removing votes. He said that the Election Commission is with the BJP, which is why the BJP could not take any action or trial against them by bringing laws in Parliament to save the commissioner. He said that now the matter has reached the public and the public will not leave them.
