Election Commission failed to answer opposition questions on SIR: Shiv Sena (Ubatha)

The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) on Sunday alleged that the Election Commission supported the special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar, failing to answer the questions raised by the opposition and seem to be absolutely ignorant.

Shiv Sena (Ubatha) leader Aditya Thackeray said in a post on ‘X’ that the election body should be neutral, but he read the ‘script’ given by his masters.

He wrote, “The fraud commission today proved with its press conference that it did not know at all about what to answer to the sharp questions asked by political parties and media.”

Aditya questioned, “This is the institution that has ensured that India stays away from independent and fair elections. Can we trust this institution with such fake officials to ensure a fair election process?”

At the same time, NCP (SP) spokesman Clide Cresto said, “The tendency of the Election Commission has increased the confidence in the questions raised on it. Instead of answering the point-wise, the Commission is rotating round and trying to show that there is nothing wrong in the system.
