The New Zealand women’s cricket team has received a bomb threat in England. The threat involved planting a bomb at the team hotel. The security of the New Zealand team has been beefed up since the case came to light.
The New Zealand women’s cricket team is currently on a tour of England and is playing an ODI series. The third ODI between the two teams is scheduled for September 21 in Leicester. However, despite the threat, there is no information about the match being affected. According to a report, a bomb will be placed in the New Zealand team’s hotel. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a New Zealand flight. The team then went into lockdown and police and counter-terrorism teams were called.
After that, it was speculated that there might not be a third ODI. “As everyone knows, the England Cricket Board has received a threatening email from New Zealand Cricket,” the spokesman said. A New Zealand spokesman denied reports that the team had canceled training following threats. He said that the team did not have to practice today as today was the day of travel. What’s more, New Zealand cricket has nothing to say on the matter.
