Modi claimed that we have named Kartya Bhavan after much churning. Duty paths, duty buildings proclaim our democracy, the basic spirit of our Constitution. He said that after independence, the country’s administrative machinery continued in the buildings built during the British period for decades. The condition of working in these administrative buildings was very poor, where there was a shortage of space for those working, lack of lights and lack of ventilation. Significantly, the Ministry of Home Affairs continued to work from this building for more than a century despite the lack of necessary resources and facilities.
Narendra Modi said that duty is not just the name of one building, it is a penance to realize the dreams of crores of countrymen. Duty is the beginning, duty is destiny. Karma tied in the affectionutra of compassion and work… This is duty. He said that dreams are with – duty. There is hope of resolutions – duties. The culmination of hard work is – duty. The light that burns in every life is willpower – duty. The basis of protecting crores of countrymen is – duty. Mother Bharati’s flag is the flag bearer-duty. There is chanting of ‘Citizen Devo Bhava’ – duty. Every task is done with devotion to the nation – duty.
The Prime Minister said that our government is engaged in the creation of India with a holistic vision. This first duty building has been completed, construction of many such duty buildings is going on fast. No part of the country is untouched by the stream of development today. He said that a modern infrastructure like Duty Bhavan shows not only the public spirit, but also a planet-supporter. This building is equipped with a solar panel on the roof to use renewable energy, and advanced waste management systems are easily integrated into its design. Today, the approach to building a durable, green building across the country is gaining momentum.
Modi said that the functions of these administrative buildings were extremely bad … Many ministries of the Government of India are operating from 50 different places in Delhi. Most of these ministries are running in rented buildings, which costs one and a half thousand crores annually. This amount is spending this amount only in paying rent … Duty buildings are also being built. He clearly stated that this will save Rs 1500 crore for rent. He said that we need to change our perspective regarding files. A file, a complaint … It may take everyday work, but the same paper for anyone can be expected to be their expectation. How many people can be connected to a file.
