Police have arrested a paan seller on charges of drug selling in Vikhroli area of Mumbai. Police have recovered drugs worth about Rs 1.84 lakh from him. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.
A police officer said that the accused Manwar Jamirullah Ansari (48) runs a paan shop in Tagore Nagar. He said that on the basis of reliable information, the police laid a trap near his shop and caught the paan seller while selling drug addicts.
An official said that the police seized 92 grams of MD from him, which has been valued at Rs 1.84 lakh. The police have registered a case against the accused under the relevant sections of the self -styled medicine and the effective substance (NDPS) Act.
