Harpreet Singh, accused in police custody.
In Punjab, CIA Staff Moga arrested a Fazilka smuggler with one and a half kilos of opium. Police had received information that the accused had come to sell opium in Moga. He was waiting for customers on Link Road from GT Road Moga-Ludhiana to village Roli.

DSP Dharmakot Ramandeep Singh said that the accused has been identified as Harpreet Singh. He hails from Jandwala Kharta in Fazilka district. On the basis of information, the police team led by ASI Jarnail Singh took action. The team arrested the accused from near village Chugawan on Pul Sem Nala Link Road. 1 kg 500 grams of opium was recovered from him.
Case registered under NDPS Act
The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act. He will be produced in court. During the police remand, he will be questioned about the smuggling network. This action was taken under the supervision of SSP Moga Ajay Gandhi, SP Bal Krishna Singla and DSP Lavdeep Singh on the instructions of DGP Punjab.
