According to the information, the drug smuggler has been identified as Lavdeep Singh alias Sunny, a resident of village Ramdaspur. The police had received secret information that Lavdeep was roaming around the village Keshopur. When the police team arrived, the accused tried to escape in the car. In a hurry, his car collided with a tree.

As soon as he got off the car, he fired two rounds at the police. In retaliation of the police, he was shot in his leg and was arrested. According to SSP Sandeep Malik and SHO Satpal Singh of Gadhdiwal, the injured smuggler has been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Dasuha.
