Amritsar Rural Police has arrested a smuggler who asked for heroin through drones from Pakistan. The accused has been identified as Pind Jatta Ramdas, a resident of Palwinder Singh alias Pala. The accused also fired on the police, police counter firing

This action was taken on the basis of information received by the CIA staff. It was reported in the information that Baljinder Singh and Palvinder Singh smuggle heroin and weapons from Pakistan. Police recovered a 30 -bore pistol and a motorcycle from the accused.

During interrogation, Palwinder Singh said that he has hidden in the bushes banking the river pistol, magazine and heroin. When the police team reached Ghnewal Dhusi with the accused under the leadership of DSP Ajnal, 523 grams of heroin was recovered from there.

When the pistol was being searched after the heroin recovery, the accused fired on the police team. In retaliation, the police shot in the leg of the accused. The injured accused were first referred to CHC Ramdas and then Guru Nanak Dev Hospital Amritsar. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Arms Act and started investigation.
