Punjab Police’s counter intelligence wing Amritsar has exposed a large arms smuggling network associated with Pakistani smugglers. Under this operation, two smugglers- Fateh Singh and Gurpreet Singh, residents of Dhalla Tarn Taran have been arrested. This information DGP Gaur

The arrested accused had direct contact with the smugglers sitting in Pakistan. They were smuggling weapons in Punjab through drones and were transporting these weapons to foreign gangsters Lakhbir Landa and the operatives associated with power Nowshera. According to the police, the network was operating in the state with the intention of promoting organized crime and spreading terror.

FIR lodged, investigation continues
Police has registered an FIR against both the accused at SSOC police station in Amritsar. In this case, the police is now trying to find out who are the smugglers sitting in Pakistan and who else are connected to this network in Punjab.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that action will continue against organized crime and smuggling from across the border. This operation is considered to be a major success of the Punjab Police.
