Dreams of 75 lakh women of Bihar got flight, PM Modi-Nitish started ’employment revolution’

In the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme’ was launched today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tax lotus. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was associated through video conferencing at the program organized at ‘Sankalp’ located on 1 Anne Marg. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment’ scheme, an amount of 7500 crore per beneficiary was transferred to 75 lakh women beneficiaries of the state through DBT.

Addressing the program organized on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great pleasure that the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has participated in today’s important program. In this program, I welcome and greet the revered Prime Minister. Also, I heartily greet the Honorable Union Ministers, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and ministers and in this program through video conferencing, I heartily greet all the mothers and sisters.

The Chief Minister said that under the ‘Mahila Employment Scheme’, sending assistance of Rs 10 thousand to more than 75 lakh women was inaugurated today by the tax lotus of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The benefit of this scheme is to be given to a woman from all the families of the state. Those whose employment will be done well will also be given additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh. He said that the dates have already been set to give benefits to the remaining women under this scheme. The next date has been set on October 3. Even further women who will join this scheme will also be given the benefit.

The Chief Minister said that you all know that the earlier government did not do any work. Earlier there was a very bad condition. When the NDA government was formed on November 24, 2005, we have been engaged in the development of Bihar and the state is ruled by law. All areas are growing rapidly, whether it is education, health, all work is being done. He said that from the beginning, emphasis is being laid on women empowerment in our government. In the year 2006, it was started with 50 percent reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions and in the year 2007 for women. Since 2013, 35 percent reservation for women was given in police service. Since 2016, women are being given 35 percent reservation in government jobs.

The Chief Minister said that earlier the number of self -help groups in Bihar was very less. In the year 2006, he formed a self -help group in the state by taking loans from the World Bank, which was named ‘Jeevika’. Now the number of self -help groups has increased to about 11 lakhs, in which the number of Jeevika Didis has increased to 1 crore 40 lakhs. Since 2024, self -help groups are being formed in urban areas, whose number has been increased to 37 thousand, in which about 3 lakh 85 thousand livelihoods have been added, the formation continues continuously.

The Chief Minister said that the Central Government is getting full support in the development of Bihar. In the Union Budget of 2024, it was announced to give a large amount for road, industry, health, tourism, flood control as special financial assistance to Bihar. Then in the Union Budget of 2025, Makhana Board in Bihar, establishment of airport, financial assistance for Western Kosi Canal etc. have been announced. Khelo India Youth Games are being organized by the Central Government in some states of the country since the year 2018. This year Khelo India Youth Games were organized in Bihar, which is a matter of pride. I salute the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this.

The Chief Minister said that I am confident that all mothers and sisters will use the amount being given today, will make their family happy and contribute to the development of the state and the country. A short film based on ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme’ was performed on the occasion. On this occasion, 4 beneficiaries of ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme’ shared their experience. Ranjita Qazi Didi of Madanpur of Balahwa Panchayat of Bagaha 2 block of West Champaran district greeted the Prime Minister and Chief Minister and said that I come from the tribal society of Valmikinagar forest area. We were fulfilled by the state government and connected to the mainstream of the society by the state government. For this, I salute Prime Minister Bhaiya and Chief Minister Bhaiya. You have made support by giving reservation to women. Under the Ujjwala scheme, there is a facility to cook smokeless food since getting domestic gas connections. Earlier there was a raw house, now our house has become a house. 125 units of electricity are getting free, the amount of social security pension scheme has been increased from 400 to 1100 rupees, its benefits are being available. Today, I will take the pumping set from the amount of 10 thousand, after this, the amount of Rs 2 lakh will be cultivated and packing the flour and packing the flour and proceeding the employment.

While sharing her experiences, Rita Devi Didi of Mohammadpur village of Daulatpur Panchayat of Koilwar block of Bhojpur district said that after joining the Jeevika Group in 2015, there was a big change in our lives. Earlier our husband Mr. Kamal Kishore Prasad used to make photos. With this work, the livelihood of the family was very difficult. Then we joined the livelihood group and first took Rs 25000 loan and started the work of goat rearing and poultry. Also, a Litti Chokha shop was also started. Now both the husband and wife are working hard and taking forward these businesses. The amount of 10 thousand which has been received today, will buy 50 chicken and will also prepare the egg business and prepare Chuja. If you get 2 lakh rupees ahead, I will open the poultry form. The result of cooperating through many schemes is that today I have become a millionaire and drone sister. Nur Jahan Khatoon Didi of Jhitkia village of Bodh Gaya block of Gaya district greeted the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister and said that after joining Jeevika, there have been many positive changes in our lives. We started sewing work by taking loans from the livelihood group, supported the family, taught children and built homes. If the Jeevika project did not get cooperation, then life would have passed in the hut itself. Jeevika has given us a different identity to us. Today, you will proceed with your employment with 10 thousand rupees. I will do great employment on getting 2 lakhs. Due to free electricity, happiness has returned to the house. We have given employment to 10 people while doing stitching work.

Putul Devi Didi of Bhawanipur village of Bhawanipur block of Purnia district greeted the Prime Minister and Chief Minister and said that I have been running a sweets shop since the year 2018. For the purpose of enlarging it, we took a loan of 6 thousand rupees from the livelihood group. Then took a loan of 30 thousand rupees in the year 2021. Which made the shop situation a little better. Today, under the Chief Minister Mahila Employment Scheme, an amount of Rs 10,000 has been received, this will lead to further business. After this, if you get an amount of 2 lakhs, then the shop of Laddu and Batase will move the business by making a sweet shop. The economic crisis in our family’s life has been overcome by livelihood. My mother -in -law has been very beneficial for increasing the amount of social security pension scheme from 400 to 1100 rupees. Getting 125 units of electricity free from above has made more benefit. Due to the benefits given by the government, the financial condition of the family is improved, today I am getting my son from Katihar to B.T. While keeping the daughter in Purnia, I am studying B.A. Today our whole family has increased on the path of prosperity.
