A criminal of the highway robbery gang escaped from the Adampur police station in Jalandhar after evading the police. He has been identified as Raja Ambarsaria resident of Amritsar. Preliminary investigation has revealed that a car was stolen from the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur highway by the accused.

According to the information received, the real name of the accused Raja Ambarsaria is Ajaypal. He is originally from Amritsar. Several cases of heroin and arms trafficking have been registered against him. The accused had links with drug traffickers based in Pakistan. At present, the police are making inquiries in this regard. But he escaped from the police station. Police are looking for the culprits.

The police had obtained police remand of the accused for about three days. The accused was to be produced in court again today. But before that, the accused escaped. Adampur police have registered a case against the said accused. Meanwhile, the search for him is going on.

Ambarsaria has been arrested by a team of CIA staff from Jalandhar village. After interrogating the accused, the police raided Lahori Mall in Amritsar village, they recovered an iPhone-15 Pro, another phone, smart watch and silver jewelery from his house.

Gurwinder Singh alias Lallu Sunyara, an accomplice of the accused, had links with Pakistani smugglers. When the police started the investigation, it was found that Raja also had connections with the said smugglers. The CIA team has recovered a pistol, 5 magazine-cartridges and about 400 grams of heroin from the accused.
