The Punjab and Haryana High Court has made an important decision. Now the prescriptions written by doctors should be obvious and readable. The court has said that all medical smells and test reports, whether they should be written in government hospital or in private, clean letters. It would be better if it is to be in capital letters or to be typed or digitally.
The court also said that patients have the right to know about their illness and treatment. This is an important part of their right to their lives. The court also asked the National Medical Commission (NMC) that students in medical colleges should be taught about a clean handwritten.
The High Court has said that the sliping system from the computer does not fully implement, all doctors should only write to all letters. State governments and the Union Territories should be aware of the state medical commission as well as doctors. Therefore, he should hold meetings at the district level of the civil surgeon. The court also said that the government should be made a policy to implement the system of writing system from the computer. If clinics or doctors need financial help, they should also be given.
Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri said in his decision that he would respect doctors and medical professions. They appreciate the contribution of doctors in the service of the country. He also said that it is important to protect the original rights of the people. Justice Puri also directed the Union government to make the rules necessary for the sooner under the Clinical Establishment Act. These rules must also contain digital records and write clear prescriptions.
