DK Shivkumar will meet Bhupendra Yadav and CR Patil, know what is the reason?

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday to meet Union Water Power Minister CR Patil and Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav and to discuss incomplete drinking water projects in the state. Shivkumar told reporters here that we have two pending projects, one is Kalsa Bhanduri and Yeti Nahol. One of them has been completed 60%, but it was stopped due to some technical reasons, it was stopped by the Forest Department, so we gave them an alternative land. On the second project, the minister said that they have come to some conclusion and are discussing with some equivalent ministers. I am meeting some other ministers in this regard.

Shivkumar also said that he would also discuss the decision of Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal which was earlier declared and would request its implementation. According to Shivkumar, Kalsa Bhanduri and Yeti Nahole drinking water projects are yet to be completed, one of which has been completed up to 60%, but has been stopped due to non -approval by the Forest Department. Talking about the order of Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal for water allocation, Shivkumar said that he would talk to Union Ministers Bhupendra Yadav and CR Patil and urge to issue the order on the KWDT award. The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka said that I have come to meet him (from Bhupendra Yadav and CR Patil) to decide for the Krishna Water Tribunal, which was announced earlier, and ensure that the order is passed. We also have two pending issues.

He also said that the meeting with Union ministers has been postponed twice before. He said, “Two meetings were scheduled, and it was postponed for unavoidable reasons. I do not know what were the circumstances. I am again meeting with the Water Resources Minister to ensure that the order can be passed.
