Diljit Dosanjh released the trailer of his upcoming Punjabi film ‘Sardar Ji 3’ on Sunday, which also gave a glimpse of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. On April 22, 26 innocent people lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, due to which tension between India and Pakistan increased and all Pakistani artists were once again banned in India. Due to this, ‘Sardar Ji 3’ is also facing opposition. However, filmmakers have decided not to release the film in India.

The trailer of Sardar G3 on YouTube is Jio-block in India, with a message, “Uploader has not made this video available in your country.” However, the teaser and songs of the film are still available for watching. Hania is not Aamir in the teaser of the film, although Pakistani actress is part of the trailer.
The manufacturer broke silence on casting decision
Producer Gunbir Singh Sidhu, who is facing increasing criticisms, clarified that the casting of Hania Aamir and other Pakistani actors was scheduled long before the current India-Pakistan tension and Pahalgam incident. According to Sidhu, the shooting and completion of the film had already been done before these developments, keeping the production time-limit separated from the current geopolitical upheaval.

Online response and explanation of Hania Aamir
Digital ruckus was very fast and polarized. A wave of users called for a boycott, accusing the filmmakers of cheating national sentiments. Meanwhile, a small class defended the film’s creative ability and pre-struggle time-limit.
There was a fake social media post to air the controversy, which made a wrong claim in the name of Hania Aamir that he had made anti -India remarks about the Pahalgam attack. The actress immediately denied the allegation, saying that she never made any such remarks and expressed sympathy to the victims.
As the Sardar G3 is ready for its global release, the film stands at the center of a cultural confrontation – which is stuck between artistic expression and increasing nationalism, its fate in India is determined by time, tragedy and acute political division.
